About us: Tony and Judith Hughes - Lewis
Tony & Judith Hughes-Lewis established the company of Island Homes Lda in Madeira in 2003 to meet a growing demand for the purchase of property and plots of land in Madeira and Porto Santo – usually as an investment for retirement, holidaying and rental.
Tony has a background of property construction and management. His family company founded in England in 1919 is still going strong as a property investment company today. He achieved senior officer rank during his 27 year career as a fighter/bomber pilot in the RAF and, after taking early retirement, spent 10 years running a country house hotel and managing his family property portfolio. |

Judith has worked in administration, finance, marketing and PR. As a military wife living in UK and overseas, she learnt to juggle raising a family with pursuing her own career and is familiar with the trials and tribulations of relocation. She and Tony left UK to live permanently on Madeira in 2002.
We have knowledge, expertise and integrity - we have no equal on Madeira...
